Ive been discussing doing blacktemple raids with my sisters, right now sunday looks like it would be our best bet.

Anyone have any input? I was figuring on resurrecting the three furies oldschool raid thread I used to post on SASU to get more members, with the vision reserved for anyone from netherbane who doesn't have it yet.

Thoughts?

Depending on times and prior commitments with Hearthstone Tavern, I would love a chance to run BT more often. I believe Jaero/Magroth is also trying to get something like this together-- you may want to talk to him as well.

In short, she said please count her in once she gets internet again.

I'm in once I get my internets back! It'll be Shizukéra with silly accent. <3

I'm familiar with all the encounters from my raiding days at 70, so if you need someone to help with strats or whatever, just let me know!

/checks for typos because iPhone autocorrections are funny.

Im thinking of announcing it as a Three Furies-Netherbane joint raid. That way I can let people know whats what. Cause after thinking about it my plan is to announce that the cursed vision if it drops is reserved first for any Netherbane who doesn't have it.

The loot rules we ran MC/BWl with fairly sucessfully was a verson of need before greed.

Loot
Normal Three Furies loot rolls except on reserved bosses. (We were reserving one of the bindings)

"Greed unless you need an item for quests, use, or even roleplay. If a person(s) is working on something in particular the raid is expected to help them get it if it drops, for example paladin(s) who want their lolbringer. This is only for the character you bring. No rolling need on [Sulfuron Ingot] for a friend. There is one exception [Bindings of the Windseeker] from Baron Geddon is reserved for Inocense.
BoE (there are always a few), greed them UNLESS your of apropriate level to equip them now/its an upgrade or its your class specific loot (Like [Vambraces of Prophecy] for a priest)"

Problems
If there is a major problem (Hunter MD pulling random mobs, etc) we give upto three warnings of whats going on to try and correct behavior. You get more warnings/help by being positive and trying to work on things. Saying 'Yea F you ill do what I want.' will result in your removal at one warning.

Right now my sisters and I are looking at brining
Alexia (80 Warrior tank)
Niste (80 holy priest)
Susa (80 Rogue stabstab)

Ive only done BT sucessfully beyond the first boss once, and that was with a 'Ive run it every week since just after BC came out' raid leader and a bunch of 80s so it was very smooth and didnt teach me much. Ill be reading up and I will love help. maybie we can use the vent for you to yell help into our ears secretly so we look good to the outsiders :D

I'd love to take part, but Sundays are my least likely days. They're the only day out of the week I can spend with family. That, abd it's also the day of Hearthstone Tavern recordings. Those usually happen twice a month (dates are variable depending on cast availability) and run from about 5pm to 8pm server time. Immediately afterwards I have dinner, and then I pack to drive back to Lexington from Louisville on Monday morning (~1.25 hr drive into work).

While the HST podcast is only twice a month, the "dinner, prep, and pack" bit happens every Sunday. And I drive every Monday and Friday (I work in Lex, Ky, but my friends / family live in L'ville, so I drive back and forth every week).

Fridays and Saturdays, after 8:30ish, tend to be better days, generally speaking. Both days are spent with the local group, and WoWing during that time's not out of the question. But, also generally speaking, regular attendence to such things will be difficult, just due to the nature of real life schedules.

As I said, I'd love to attend and grab Thar a proper blindfold for various RP outfits (I tend to put Feth, Shizu, and an appropriately-leveled Araatris as ordered priority, since female toons don't have a blindfold option), but I know my personal schedule will make Sunday attendence rather rare.

So, as Taldarion indicated, I've been very intently playing with the idea of starting a regular "Roleplaying Raid Crusade". I would schedule this as an event through the Earthen Ring RP Network - it's a somewhat strange thing, as the site's not generally used to schedule anything but RP events. We would primarily hit raids from Burning Crusade such as Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, Sunwell, Black Temple (obviously), Gruul, and Magtheridon.

The goal is to get RPers the gear they need and will use (not just to obligatorily collect costumes). The trick is justification. Say a player has all but one T6 set piece - this should get higher priority than someone who has the bracers and belt. In-character justification is another issue. Netherbane is a group of Demon Hunters and should be able have priority on blindfolds (and possibly Warglaives?). There are a number of players, RPers and raiders alike, who want to finish costumes simply as trophies - which they may not RP with, or would very seldomly do so. There are those who haven't finished their primary sets. The specific bulletproof rules about this haven't been nailed down, but that is the gist.

As for time, I'm looking at Thursday or Friday evening.

I can do Friday evenings.

I can do Thursdays too, but due to other commitments on Thursday nights I probably won't be available until close to 9:00 server (yay for dinner and Japanese tutoring, boo to Metro off-peak schedule).

I wouldn't dare attempt to get that blindfold surrounded by Netherbanes >_<

Everyone insults me for wanting it... But there are other RP-uses for a blindfold that don't include just demonhunting.

I agree! There are tons of other reasons for wanting it.

I just happen to think that it's such a central piece of the demon hunter "uniform" that they should have first dibs, along the lines of what Jaero has said about it.

Personally, I go so far as saying female demon hunters should always have first dibs if it drops, because they don't have a model with a built-in blindfold the way male night elves can.

Come on now, we have to mark our women!

Wow... that sounded way less sexist in my head. :P

I think to be far the blindfold should be open roll but maybe DH/blind RPers first then everyone else.
