Player's Overview
Valryssa Nightfury is a human girl who believes herself to be the adopted sister of Shizukera Felshadow, the night elf demon hunter. According to her own memories, Valryssa was the daughter of the humans who met Shizukera shortly after the destruction of Nordrassil at the end of the Third War. In Shizukera's broken psychological state, the humans helped the night elf heal in Stormwind, and it was during this time that Valryssa met Shizukera.

Or so she believed.

Shizukera knew, however, that the humans who helped her piece back together her broken spirit and mind were without children. In simple terms, Valryssa shouldn't have existed.

When Valryssa first introduced herself to Taldarion and Shizukera, she claimed to be Shizukera's adopted sister. Though Shizukera did not remember her, the two demon hunters befriended Valryssa after helping her fight off the attacks of a particularly stubborn imp.

As demonic attacks became more frequent and much more violent, Valryssa began to realize the truth: that she was not Shizukera's sister, but some kind of pawn to the Burning Legion. She was tied to the demons that attacked her, and just by her existence, they could attack at any time. Most often, they chose to do so when Shizukera was around. To make matters worse, Valryssa soon began to feel that many of her memories were not real-- or that there was something else behidn them.

Fed up, Shizukera convinced Valryssa that they could look for answers together.

With assistance from Tsunomi, Valryssa, Taldarion, and Shizukera were able to enter the dreams of Valryssa and discover that all her memories were in fact placed in her head with strong fel magic. The true story of her past soom unfolded, at least to a degree.

Born a human girl named Terys, with a growing power in controlling fel magic, the human's powers somehow led to the death of her real parents, and not the humans who had helped Shizukera at all. In her fear, Terys made a deal with a powerful agent of the Burnign Legion. If he would help her forget what had happened, she would give herself to him to be used as he saw fit.

Valryssa remains unsure if the death of her parents was accidental or otherwise, and does not really wish to know.

This is exactly what the demon did, ripping pieces of her soul from her body and replacing it with false memories and extraordinary powers. In essence, he created a living doll who believed herself o have a real life, thoguh she was only a "toy" through which the demon could get to his real prey: Shizukera. Unfortunately for his plans, as the new personality became more powerful and discovered the body's ability to control demons, Valryssa rebelled.

Valryssa and the others also learned that the particular demon who had created her had been shadowing Shizukera's life for years, learning eveythign he could about the young night elf so that they might be able to do away with her and kill off what he belived to be the last Nightfury. It had been this demon who had fought Shizukera at the Battle of Mount Hyjal, killing Shizukera's parents and driving the young night elf over the edge of sanity.

However, with Shizukera now trained as a demon hunter and her mother returned to life as a death knight, this "felshadow" demon soon learned the error of his ways. Confronted by Serreina, Shizukera, and several students of the Netherbane, the Felshadow demon was killed in battle with Shizukera. Thoguh he warned that his death would lead to the destruction of the subtle magics holding together Valryssa's soul, it seems this was just a bluff, as the girl has continued to grow since then, and is becoming a powerful warlock in her own right. Just why this is the case remains to be seen.


Abilities or Powers
Valryssa displays all the normal abilities of a burgeoning human warlock. Her aura is most likely different from that of a normal human, but she is trying to lead a normal life.

She hides the fact that she is a warlok as much as possible when in large cities, as she understands they are not looked upon favorably by many people.

For all intents and purposes, Valryssa is a normal young adult learning to live in the world of Azeroth.
